Carded Qiviut Roving

This washed and dehaired qiviut has been carded on our machine into a gorgeous thick roving—and is ready for you to blend and/or spin! 

Qiviut roving in this woollen preparation makes for some beautiful handspinning. Enjoy the downy softness and natural crimp of this extraordinary fibre.

We comb out our qiviut from the hides of wild muskoxen, which are still harvested as an important source of food by Inuvialuit communities.

Note: although we work hard to remove muskoxen guard hairs by hand, you will likely still find a few in the roving!
